# Data, privacy and compliance

> What Recruit100x does with candidate data, where it screens, and the notices and presets it applies.

- **Roles.** For candidate data your agency sends, Recruit100x acts as your processor under the
[Data Processing Agreement](/dpa). Candidate care, an optional practice offer Neural Bits makes to candidates after
their interview, is the one service where Neural Bits acts on its own account; it is described in the DPA and the
  [Terms](/terms#candidate-care).
- **Retention and deletion.** Reports and transcripts follow your workspace's retention setting; deleting a
candidate deletes their data, and the compliance export lists what was recorded.
- **Countries.** Roles and candidates in the EU/EEA are not screened (`ROLE_COUNTRY_NOT_SUPPORTED`, per-row
  `country_not_supported`).
- **AI notice.** Candidates are told before the interview that it is run by an AI interviewer and that a person at your
agency reviews the result; they consent before it starts and can ask for an alternative.
- **Jurisdiction presets.** Each role uses your workspace's preset, or the one you send (`jurisdiction_preset`), which
sets the disclosures for places with AI-in-hiring rules such as New York City and Illinois.
