Accessibility
Candidates never chose to use this software; it has to work for everyone the agency invites. We target WCAG 2.2 AA across the candidate interview, the recruiter app and this site.
Last updated September 4, 2026
For candidates
- Every interview can be taken in text instead of voice, from the start or at any point if the connection is poor. Choosing text never affects the assessment.
- Candidates can ask for a person instead of the AI interview from every page; that choice is never held against them.
- Pages work on phones first, with 44px touch targets, visible focus, live status announcements for connection changes, and no time limits beyond the interview length the candidate agreed to.
- The notice candidates read is plain language, and the consent control is a real checkbox with a visible label.
For recruiters
- Everything is reachable by keyboard: menus use arrow keys, tables have sortable headers announced to assistive technology, dialogs trap and return focus.
- Status is never colour alone — every state has an icon and a label, and evidence ratings use text labels rather than numbers or colours.
- Text meets AA contrast against its background; the interface respects the reduced-motion preference.
- Forms have visible labels, error messages linked to their fields, and a summary that receives focus on long forms.
How we test
Automated accessibility checks (axe) run in our end-to-end test suite on the public pages, sign-up, the candidate interview pages and the recruiter app at phone and desktop widths, and block a release when they fail. We also test with keyboard only and with a screen reader before shipping major changes.
